Summary:
The Town of Boylston is seeking a professional individual to join us as Animal Control/Dog Officer. This position requires the ability to be on call and prioritize the severity of calls.
The ideal candidate will have animal handling experience, have basic knowledge of animal welfare laws, be detail-oriented, and have public relations skills with the ability to work under pressure. Criminal justice background, Basic Animal Control Certification, and Rabies Vaccinations are a plus. Must be able to successfully pass a complete background check.
Certification must be obtained within the first six months of hire.
Must hold a clean valid Massachusetts Class C driving license and have a reliable vehicle large enough to accommodate animal transport.
